The Board of Education recognized Mrs. Susan Wells and Mr. Darrell Bowers at the December Board Meeting. Both board members will be rotating off at the end of December. Thank you, Mrs. Wells and Mr. Bowers, for your years of service to Muhlenberg County Schools!
All Muhlenberg County Schools will be closed from December 23rd through January 3rd for Christmas break. School will resume January 6, 2025.

The 2nd grade at Greenville Elementary performed the musical, Elflandia, on Tuesday for the entire school and that evening for families and friends. Both performances were held at the Felix E. Martin, Jr. Hall. They did a fabulous job!
Longest Elementary hosted a Holly Jolly Bash yesterday throughout the day in the gym. Family members were invited to come to the bash during their child's specials time and play games as well as get a picture made together.

Central City Elementary had a special evening for their students and families on Friday. From a Sensory Santa Workshop in the library to a fun Christmas dance in the gym, the school was filled with smiles and Christmas cheer!
Muhlenberg South Elementary brought the movie theater to the school today. Students were given popcorn, a drink, and fruit snacks before entering the gym to watch the new movie, The Wild Robot.
The Board of Education held a work session recently centered around the work we are doing with our Profile of a Learner. Katie Martin and Brittany Griffin from Learner-Centered Collaborative led the session with a group of teachers, principals, and administrators across the district. Attention deer hunters...Students in one of Mr. Cronin's ag classes recently completed a project where they were challenged to create a charcuterie board. They had been discussing the variety of venison products and some used it on their boards. Great work!
Our cafeteria staff across the district have been extra busy this week serving Thanksgiving meals to our students and staff. 👏We are so thankful for this group! Enjoy a few moments of those meals caught on camera...






The Board of Education recognized three wonderful employees of the district at this month's board meeting for demonstrating our Effective Collaborator competency from our Profile of a Learner. Bus driver, Gale Fulkerson, along with her monitors, Candace Lile and Jennifer McGehee, have started a "bus rider of the week" reward program for their elementary bus riders. They collaborated with SOAR to get a few books as rewards for good behavior. It has been a huge success. Thank you, ladies, for being Effective Collaborators.
