Muhlenberg County High School hosted their Peer Buddies Prom today in the multipurpose room. This event was designed to provide a welcoming, inclusive environment where all students - especially those with disabilities - can feel valued, supported, and celebrated. There was music, dancing, food, and plenty of smiles.
Thank you to all who provided this amazing opportunity for the students!

Representatives with the Kentucky Poultry Federation visited Muhlenberg County High School this morning in Mr. Scott Cronin's class. Students were given the opportunity to make omelets and then listened to Ms. Claydean share about poultry economics and about eggs. The federation was organized in 1957 as a civic and educational non-profit corporation. Learn more about the Kentucky Poultry Federation at www.kypoultry.org.

Muhlenberg County Schools received a donation from Old National today to purchase career ready labs for students to begin using next school year along with funding to help the student bank at the high school with needed supplies. We are grateful for the partnerships like Old National who help us provide wonderful learning experiences for our students.

Happy School Principal Day!

Congratulations to Atticus Tomasic, 7th grade student at Muhlenberg County Middle, for writing a "Spruce Up the Berg" Felix E. Martin, Jr. Grant and getting it approved. Atticus and his family were at the Greenville City Park recently and he recognized the need for shade trees according to his mom, Erin. So, he took it upon himself to write a grant to plant trees.
This is a wonderful example of our Profile of Learner in action. As an engaged citizen, Atticus is making a positive impact in our community by effectively collaborating with the Felix E. Martin, Jr. Foundation. He sought out a solution as a creative problem-solver and skillfully communicated how to fix the issue. Thank you, Atticus, for being an empowered learner in our school and community.
Atticus is the son of John and Erin Tomasic and brother to Tatum and Virginia.

New teachers met at the Board of Education yesterday afternoon and heard from a panel of some of our experienced teachers and school leaders. They were able to ask questions and gain insight on how to teach and lead well. Thank you to all who participated.

Our high school club STAND celebrated another fun year with breakfast yesterday. We congratulated our senior members and rewarded members who had perfect attendance. We are thankful for these students who STAND against negative decisions!
